In this game I played a live ICC Blitz game against a Grandmaster who I beat on time, although I was still easily ahead. The game is an excellent example of the Narjdorf variation + the use of an exchange sack in order to consolidate my position and move for the win. Hope you all enjoy! Lithuanian Chess Federation and sports and art club "Juoda balta" invites all European Chess Federations affiliated to ECU to participate in the European Youth Rapid and Blitz Championships 2011 which will take place on 2-7th of October 2011 in Druskininkai, Lithuania. Arrival on 1st of October or 2nd of October 8,00 a.m. - 12,00 a.m., departure on 6 or 7th of October.

Organizer:
Sports and art club "Juoda balta"

Venue:
Tournament will take place in Druskininkai. Official web-site of Druskininkai city is http://info.druskininkai.lt

Playing hall:
Grand SPA Lietuva . Conference center. (V.Kudirkos str. 45, Druskininkai)

Accommodation:
All players, accompanying persons and guests are invited to stay in official hotels on following conditions:
Grand SPA Lietuva, hotel “Lietuva” *** (V.Kudirkos str. 45, Druskininkai)
Price for full board (per person per day, meals – from dinner on arrival day till lunch on departure day): 1/2 = 45 EUR, 1/1 = 60 EUR.

These prices are valid only in case of registration and payment before the 5th of September. After this date the organizer doesn't guarantee these prices.

Registration:
Written registrations should be sent to the organizers before September 5th, 2011 via federation, club or personally. Registration form can be found on the internet at http://www.rapidyouth.eu
The organisers retain the right to make all the necessary changes.

Competitions


(1) 11th INDIVIDUAL EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP – RAPID 9 rounds played according to the Swiss System, 15 minutes + 10 sec per player Categories: boys and girls under 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18

(2) 10th EUROPEAN RAPID CUP - RAPID SUPER FINAL Two categories, boys and girls.

(3) 11th TEAM EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - RAPID
Three categories: under 10, under 14 and under 18.
Teams are composed of 3 boys + 1 girl and two reserved players.
One team may have players maximum from two National Federation .
7 rounds played according to the Swiss System, 10 minutes + 5 sec per player Entry fee: 5 EUR per participant Schedule:

(4) 11th INDIVIDUAL EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS – BLITZ
Three categories: under 10, under 14 and under 18 separate for boys and girls;
9 rounds played according to the Swiss System, 3 minutes + 2 sec per player

(5) 10th EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN SOLVING CHESS PROBLEMS
Three categories: under 10, under 14 and under 18

The total prize fund for all events will be 5.000 EUR in goods, and 1.300 EUR in cash.
