It Woulda Been Fun If I Wasn't Watching It Alone

Absolute great movie. I mean, I didn't really watch the previous ones, but I am quite impressed with the Deathly Hallows. At least it did not end abruptly and left me hanging (which in this case I hate). It ended nicely without any irritating bit where the chasing and the climax scenes ended before the whole Part 1 movie ends. And of course, Hermione looks absolutely stunning and feminine, even if she's wearing just a blouse and jeans. And and and there aren't that many cuts on the book (thus the part 1 and part 2) which the previous ones tend to do (that's completely annoying and you would wish that you'd rather read the whole book again instead of sitting in the cinemas).

Anyway, its really a change to watch movie alone. At least I don't have to explain every single detail to the person beside me (or rather I did it willingly) which could be quite bothersome and tiring at times.

UOB card holders just have to pay S$8.50 instead of S$10.50 at Cathay Cinemas. A great deal indeed.

You Really Gotta Watch It In 3D

I'm not kidding you. This movie is like so awesome that I think it should be nominated Best Movie of the Year (OK, maybe Harry Potter would be better but still, I'm saying..).

Avatar

I'm so so outdated right?? People are talking about how outstanding this movie is like ages ago and I'm only starting to catch up now.

But no choice lah, I only watched this a few days ago and was totally captivated by the story line (although I've got a strong feeling that I'd seen this before, hint hint: Pocohantas) and its graphical effects as well as the colours throughout the movie.

Although I'm not really sure why some characters have to act that way, but its a great movie nontheless. And I can swear, you won't waste your time nor your money on popcorn.

Watch it in 3D, and its even better as debris and sparkles from the movie might actually get into your eyes. ^__^

Anyway, I am not writing the synopsis here cuz you really need to watch it yourselves.

And here are some pictures to whet your movie appetite.

By the way, the official song for Avatar is sung by Leona Lewis, "I See You", in my opinion, is kinda weird, in terms of tune and all.

Angels and Demons - Locations

If you are here for the story line or the spoiler, sorry to disappoint you, but this post is not about movie chronologies and stuff, is just that after watching this show, it mades me revisit the memory of touring rome. And I haven't got a clue what it is all about. I don't understand those complicated religious terms and the background behind it.

I did not watch the entire movie, minutes to minutes, scenes to scenes, as I watched it online and was skipping every boring parts, thus maybe the left out of some locations from the movie.

So here goes...
The totally famous St Peterburg (or is it?). Its in the Vatican city where the pope lives (remember, vatican city is a country itself). This scene is where thousands of people gather there to do-I-don't-know-what.
And this structure is inside basilica (ok, duomo, ok, cathedral -__-, i'm confusing myself here). Its being destroyed in the movie as the bomb goes off in the helicopter.

This is Piazza del Popolo. Its another scene shot. And this place is humongous.

I'm not kidding. I was delighted to see the movie with this scene shot. Very very familiar and made me reminisce the good old days touring in Rome.

This picture, I'd stole off the internet. I don't think I'd been there before. But this very famous fountain scene in the movie is where the bad guy tries to drown someone in it.

This is picture was taken when I was touring at a tourist attraction area and saw Tom Hanks and snap from afar with my super zoom lense -__-.
Just kidding. Stole off the internet again.
Interesting movie, if you've been to Rome.
