A Minute Of Silence Please

I am definitely very very sad and distracted right now. Famous Taiwanese Singer (is she from Taiwan?), Ah Sang, 阿桑, had passed away, due to breast cancer.

Although she is gone, her songs will definitely remain within my memory forever.

May you rest in peace.

Special Delivery

福 to protect me (from our beloved Deity, 善财菩萨). Thanks pa, I really need that as I'm having a rough year ahead (says the horoscope fortune telling).

The scam website had sent to me its CD on how to make money through google. Well, to me, its still a scam though, so had cancelled my credit card and won't fall into stupidness again.

Yay, not working for 4 days this week. This gives me time to find other jobs and apply for phd...

Do You Believe In Ghost??

I'm not gonna post a scary photo of some distorted face or amputated bodies of ghost or ghouls as I'm scared of them myself.

Proceed with the question. Do you believe in the existance of these apparition that scares the wits outta people??

Honestly, I'd encounter them several times, but lucky me, I haven't seen them, but just heard them.

I'm not sure why do they "make-available" for my hearing in broad daylight as I thought that they prefer the dark or whatever...

Story 1:

Location: TAR College Hostel

Time: Afternoon

Process: As I was busted from college activities, I'd decided to take a wee nap. As I was about to doze off, suddenly, I felt the bed shaking. It shook quite violently as it woke me up. At 1st I thought it was just my hallucination as I was very tired, but it seems real as I eyed at my shaking body. I was really annoyed at that time (no heart thumping or hair standing moment) as I just wanna get on with sleep, and the shaking just bothered the crap outta me. So I just shouted "EI, STOP SHAKING LAH!!! I WANNA SLEEP!!!" Then, as if as I'd press the STOP button on a remote control, the bed became still again. Subsequently, I drowsily toss off to sleep.

Story 2:

Location: TAR College Hostel (again)

Time: Evening

Process: I was doing my homework at that time, with my speaker volume to the maximum, blasting my favourite metal tune (weird right? normally people can't concentrate with music at the ear). Then, suddenly, the music suddenly went really soft, and a male's voice spoke into my ear "What are you doing??", then the music went back on full blast. I was so shock that I jerk my head up to my side and expect to see someone standing there but of course, there's no one. I was a bit shaken by then. So, I'd decided to lower the volume and continue doing my homework (weird right?? I shoulda get out of the room right that instance but instead I continue with what I'm doing, wtf -__-)

Story 3:

Location: Belfast Malaysian Hall

Time: Afternoon

Process: Yoong, his brother and me went to the house to collect some letters. Its vacant as the Malaysian society wanted to revamp the whole house thus no occupant. So, Yoong decided to take me for a tour around the house (he used to live there during his 1st year in Belfast). As we were at the 2nd floor and wanted to proceed with the 3rd, suddenly, I heard a "thump" upstairs. At 1st, Yoong didn't heard it and I ask him to stay still and listen. Another "thump". Then Yoong and I froze in our tracks. "Thump... Thump..." Then for another while "Thump.... Thump...Thump...Thump...." The sound got louder and more frequent as time past. Yoong and I were terrified by now. But we were not sure whether its a burglar or.... But we just walk quickly away from the staircase into the hallway, and suddenly, the thumping just stop. We look at each other, went downstairs, and told his brother what happen. All of us quietly get into the car and Yoong told me that actually that house is haunted as he had encounted something worse last time (if you wanna know what happen to Yoong last time, just tell me, I'll tell you in the comment section). He said that there was once a Malay gal hanged herself on the 3rd floor (exactly the room where Yoong stayed last time) and Yoong had once saw something whitish standing beside his bed when he's about to sleep.

Ok, now's your turn, please share with me some of your scariest encounter/heard-stories!!!

I'm dying to know (pun intended).

Ayam Masak Merah

Unfortunately, this is the not made-from-scratch recipe, its the prepackaged sauce I'd added into it.

Ingrdients:
6 Chicken drumsticks
1/2 big onion
2 tomatoes
A handful of sultanah (raisins)
Coriander
Ayam masak merah sauce

Method:
1. Wash the chicken and cut the tomatoes into cubes.
2. Slice the onions.
3. Heat up the oil.
4. Stir fry the chicken till the outer layer turn white.
5. Pour in sauces and water (cover just above the chicken)

6. Dunk in the tomatoes after 15 minutes.
7. Boil for another 15 minutes.
8. Add in the Sultanahs.
9. Add in the coriander.
10. Serve.

Its yummilicious..
Suddenly I have a question for you, cause I'm really curious to know....
AT WHAT AGE DO YOU START TO COOK?? Me?? From 14.

Harajuku Lovers Fragrance

I just love this collection of fragrance from LAMB, Gwen Stefani. They consist of 5 different fragrance, each has a different scent and different name.
I wanted to buy them for my birthday, but, ummm.... I'd overspent.
Nevertheless, it doesn't hurt to sniff them out right??

The name is clearly quoted on the bottle. So no introduction here.

See how cute they are?? I wanted to buy them not because of the perfume, but because of the doll on top of it. I know, really vain of me to collect these cutese (hey, I invented a word).

Its £12 for the 10ml and £19.50 for the 30ml. Of course I'm buying the smaller one, I don't need their scent, just the bottle please...

And I know that I'm going to get some scolding from sis "Jie ah, why you keep spending money on irrelevant things one!!!" (except that she will leave out the "irrelevant" word)

This is the leader of the pack, its call G, and its said that it imitates the look of the singer herself. I don't think Gwen is this cute looking though but the blonde hair really did bridge some similarities between them.
*****************************************************************
The verdict??
I'm gonna say its G and Love. G is because of Gwen Stefani, Love is because of its scent.

Outfit For The Day

Knitted slip-on: New Look, White Dress: Dorothy Perkins, Ankle boots: Ebay, Watch: Cyma, Necklace-Bracelets: China, Bangle: Marie Claire
I'd cheated. I did not wear the boots out as it was too high for me to walk and shop for the entire day. So, I'd worn the flat heel boots instead (its my birthday outfit). I think I could blend into the background if it weren't for my hair and my accessories.

Something irrelevant: How do you prevent hair loss??

24th Birthday

Sorry guys, but entries of these few days would be about how I celebrated my birthday. I know, its lame and nothing to shout about, but I just wanna keep it for remembrance as nobody could celebrate their 24th bday twice in a life time...

So just bear with me.... Here goes...

Getting ready for the whole shopping trip. Put on make-up (which I seldom do).

Had luncheon in Lee Garden. Chee Cheong Fun. Don't ask me to translate in english, I haven't got a clue. It tasted alright... I wish that there were more sauce to soak the Fun...

Next up is this combination of roasted pork, roasted duck and soy sauce chicken to go with the stir-fry flat noodles. (what the heck, its only 4 words in chinese, "san shao he fen 三烧河粉")
***************************************************************************
I love the roast pork best. Its crunchy skin really adds texture and it doesn't have those distinctive porky smell. But the chicken was a total let-down. Too dry and tough, like they had been frozen for weeks. The noodles are too dry though, we had to ask for another bowl of sauce to drench the noodle.

Har gao. Or rather prawn dumpling. I love the filling but hate the skin. Its always like that. Can't find any decent har gao skin anywhere... Always a disappointment.

My favourite, the deep-fried bean curd skin with prawn filling. This is a total yum. I don't care whether its tasteless, cuz I do think that the chrunchiness of the skin and the springiness of the prawn filling really made up for the overall yum-level.

More pictures cuz me likey!!! ^__^

That's the squid cake. This is also really delicious. I wish I could have some now...

Don't play-play, we finished everything....

Next up is the where the real fun begins, SHOE SHOPPING !!!!

Pardon the elephant calf of mine. But I just love all of them. If only there's no restraint on money, I would definitely bag them all.

Yoong was bored, so he took pictures for me...

This looks cute. But Yoong forbid me to have them. T__T . He's paying, so gotta listen to the one with authority.

This shoe is the 1st picture I pasted in my previous post about how I love Topshop Shoes. I didn't get them, cuz it was a bit impractical for me as I don't go partying often. You can't expect me to walk on the streets in it, do you??

Eh, I love this a lot.. But the opening at the ankle is really big, which makes walking difficult. So, sadly, I put them away (I do mean sadly, as you could see my face turn black when I put them back to its respective shelf)

Poor him, gotta pay for his gf's greed. I really pity him you know, burning £200 off his wallet.

Anyway, had dinner at TGI Fridays. I know, how uncreative I can get, dining at TGI for my birthday, but you know, Yoong haven't been to one, so thought of letting him have a taste of the famous franchise.

Cam-whoring while waiting for food...

We had Oreo shake and Club Orange. The shakes a bit too sweet though...

My New York Strip glazed with signature Jack Daniel's sauce, onion rings and fries as sides... I tell you, this is so so so good. The aroma drifting out from the dish is totally heaven ( I can still picture it now, or rather smell it now) and the sauce is really up to my liking, sweet and tangy, which goes really well with the beef.
****************************************************************************
The only disappointment is that I'd ordered medium well, but it came as well done. No pinkish middle or whatsoever, but the meat was not too tough. But the sides are really a downfall. I mean I could go without them. They, supposingly crunchy, isn't at all.
****************************************************************
I would say, the saviour of the whole dish is the sauce.
Yoong's Jack Daniel Chicken. He doesn't seem to enjoy it much. But he did like the sauce. You know, maybe we are more well suited to chinese dishes, you know, salty and oily and stir-fry.
Typical chinese, us...

The last stop, Movie House.

I know, I'm so so late in catching movies, I mean how long has Watchmen been screening, 1 month ago?? Overall, I'm not sure whether I like it or not. It has so much entertaining bits but yet the whole scene was mind disturbing. That's for another post though..
**************************************************************************
I am really satisfied with what I'd got for my birthday. And a special thanks to Yoong who was willing to spent 12 hours with me, shopping, dining, movies and reluctantly spent £200 (why do I always have to bring up this amount??) on my birthday presents and other activities...
*****************************************************************************
I'm not gonna say I Love You here as I'd been doing that behind the scene ;P and you know it.
