There Will Be A Series Of Food Post

This blog will temporarily turned into a food blog because I have too many food pictures sitting on my laptop.

Yeah, I know, "Boring!!" I hear you say..

Well, what's not Boring is that these food are what I ate during my visit to the UK, Amsterdam and Paris.

There aren't much as I kinda lack the mojo to actually snap pictures of what I eat. These photos, thanks to Yoong (bf), are being reminded by the bf to be snapped.

I guess you can't really stop a hungry woman from walloping her food down in a go, can you?

Well, from the settings above, you guessed it, we went for chinese... I know I know, how ironic is that..!! Having Chinese in the UK is like the last thing you want on your list, but oh well, as the bf is totally a typical Chinesey guy, you just have to go with the crowd.

Here are the normal stuff, har gao...

This is like the highlight for the lunch... I specially requested that Yoong bring me to this dim sum place for this Deep fried beancurd wrap prawns (no idea what's the name of this dish, totally made this up)

Then is the ever weird UK version Siew Mai

We won't be full, not until we have the stir fry flat noodles with San Shao (roasted pork, roasted duck and soy sauce chicken)

Yum yum... We always ended way too full after stuffing ourselves with dim sum. By the way, the name of the restaurant is Lee's Garden in Belfast.

I really have to apologize for my lack of posts... Can't promise anything though, lets get my fingers crossed that I will continue to write and not shut this blog down.

And I am seriously thinking of closing down my Youtube account. Maybe its because I'm running out of things to talk on my videos and the lack of buying makeup totally ruin my urge to film. Lets see how it goes...

Pictures That Inspires Me Today

When they say pictures speak a thousand words, I never once doubt it.

Its been a while since I got inspired by something, or do something inspirational. Well, maybe blogging is counted as one, or Youtubing, but doing something much more soul searching like meditation or painting or singing (WTF!?) is way off my list

Has it ever occur to you that once you start on something, you can't seem to stop doing it. You'll just continue doing it until you get fed up with it. That's me right now

I think its something gotta do with the homones that we people tend to have different emotions and temperaments, some on the slower side, some on the fiesty side, its just all too fascinating deciphering them.

Aaahhh, procrastinating seems like a good option when you're too cowardly to start a huge project. Take it step by step, complete A 1st before ever skipping to B, this way, you''ll feel like you're more in control.

Did I ever tell you guys that I'm going to Paris during Summer Time May?? I am so looking forward to be in another foreign country. I don't want this year to be duller than last year (Imagine travelling to 5 countries in 2010 is just too exciting)

Ooo, every gals has to have dreams... A fairy tale prince, a princessy dress and golden carriage to sweep our feet off the ground and live happily ever after. All too good to be true ^_^

Definitely pluck your courage and move forward. Don't you even try to look back and agonize over something that has been the past and you can't even change. Just start being best starting from now on.

I think I need to retreat to my little spot of relaxation and sip a cup of earl grey tea and take it slow. One step at a time babe.

Food At Malaysian Night

A friend had asked me, why do I always take pictures of food that I'd made or ate, what is so interesting in keeping pictures of them, what's the purpose of them??

I told him that, I love to keep track of what I had put inside my mouth and tummy, its like to store a memory of these delicious (or awful) tasting goodies that its just too precious to just swallow and digest and make them into waste. I want to have a virtual vision of them so that I could eat/cook them again.

And don't you think that sometimes, food are like art. You can be imaginative and have fun with them, or maybe when you savour each and every bite of the delicacies, not only your palette has been enriched, but your satisfaction of knowing such wonderful food actually exist in this world.

So enough of those crap talk and get on with the food shall we??

The food that was served that night:
Kuih Lapis (Malaysian savoury snack) and vegetable spring roll
Nasi Lemak (Fragrant coconut rice with spicy sauce) with curry prawns and chicken
Banoffee Pie (haven't got a clue why did we get this as dessert as this doesn't really represents Malaysia)

All in all, the food was alright. Many compliments on the Nasi lemak though. Its not wonderfully delicious and the oommpphh is there and very much similar to the ones that we get in Malaysia. Love the curry prawns and chicken. If only there's a shop that sells these in Belfast, I would patronize that place every week

**Imaginary scene**
**"Makcik, kasi Nasi Lemak, Besar portion, tambah kuah kari banyak and air bandung satu!!"**
** Translation = (Aunty, give me a Nasi Lemak, big portion please, and add more curry into the dish, and one glass of syrup drink!!)**

Is A Man Obliged To Provide Money For His Wife/Girlfriend?

This question has been in my head all day... And its really disturbing me till the very max.

What I feel, is that as a man, a man with enough of dignity, he should be the breadwinner of the family, providing shelter, food, protection, security and other neccessity for the family household.

He, as a man, should be the one earning most of the family income and make sure that his family live comfortably.

My papa, did this, for his entire 30++ years and I guess now its his time to relax and my turn to take on the role.

But anyway, the sentence above is kinda out of this topic.

So, I do feel that, a man shouldn't be too calculative when it comes to money. But what I'd encounter my entire 25 years of life, I have seen many men, being too Mr. Scrooge about their money, stingy with sharing, and shrewd when it comes to the matter of moolah.

We of the women races, could never be on par or rather on the same scale as men, (even though the slogan = "we are equal" constantly runs through my head), when it comes to salary and strength and the position in the society. Therefore, I am not too disgusted by the fact that women have to rely on men in order to live comfortably.

Sometimes, I just don't understand.

Why do we (women) have to put up with men who are doesn't want to pay for our meals which we deem as an act of courteous and manly (I mean, not like those bitches who tend to take advantage of their male friends and always make them pay)???

Why do we have to undergo the tension or shamefulness of asking money from our own boyfriend/husband when its just a natural act to do so (don't forget, men earn more money than we do)??

Why does men sees that women who ask for money are those who are stupid and unreasonable who won't get a job and who cons them of their moolah instead of seeing us as someone they should try and protect and provide us with a comfortable life??

Why are men nowadays so so sensitive with their $$$ that they are so unwilling to share, and if they do share, they wanna hear 2456214 reasons behind before parting with their money??

I'm just so intrigued.

I always thought that the boyfriend/husband should not ask question nor should they feel intimidated when their girlfriend or wife wanted some money or gifts from them.

Don't tell me that men are sissy in the current era and thus their womanly features are starting to show...  **gasp!!**

I just hope that this only happen to me and guys around me, and not all guys act the same way.

So I guess, staying at home, becoming a housewife, taking care of my kids, doing household chores (which is also my dream from young) won't be realized then. I've got to work hard in order to survive, even if I have kids, and shouldn't ask a penny from my husband.

Life surely is hard.

Men... They certainly are damn creatures. Making us women cry and at the same time stronger in order to face this tough world.

So my thought for today: We shouldn't rely too much on men especially when it comes to money, because if we do, we will end up losing our integrity and our trust will always be misplaced by them bastards.

Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, WAKE UP YOU GUYS!! There's no happily ever after. You've gotta work your ass of in order to keep your prince charming beside you or he'll kick you out of the castle because you are not contributing $$$ to provide for the family.

2 Announcement & Food Stuff

I have a big big announcement to make...

**Breathes in deeply and exhale through mouth...** x 10

For good.

Its a tough decision, but I know its the best for me, my future, my boyfriend, our future family, my family and my boyfriend's family
.
.
.

Another big announcement.....

**Breathes in deeply and exhale..**cough cough**... exhale...***

.
.
.

I'm not staying back in Malaysia either.

I'm going to Japan.

To work.... for 3 years.

.
.

I don't even know whether I'm couragous or strong enough to survive in Japan alone, with no knowledge of Japanese language, or their culture, or their people. But I'll try my best.

Therefore, I really need you guys, help me through this tough phase. Tell me that I'm making the right decision. Tell me that I'm strong enough to brave the adversity alone. Tell me that I'm doing this for my own good. Tell me that I'm not alone and you all will be supporting me through the internet.

This sounded like a sad post!!?? does it?? No no.. I'm not that sad. Just a little dazed that this is all happening and its happening too fast.

Anyway, on a totally unrelated tone, here are some pictures of what I'd made..

Ayam Paprik which taste awesome. Gonna make this again.

You can try to google up these recipe because I'm quite lazy to type the recipe here, sigh...Not in the mood... I wish I can just stay in bed all day without having to think so much and decide anything.

Materialistic = Making Me Happy?

I always consider myself as a gal who is absolutely brand conscious and love all those that are expensive and high class and a true show-off.

I won't deny this very shallow side of me because its who I am.

I always get telling off from people who cares about me to stop being such a spendrift and waste my precious money on something you wouldn't call provision items. And I do get defensive and all, justifying the money that I spent on make ups and bags.

But I couldn't care more if my money were to be exchange for all these stuff.

The reason?

I guess I am just too absorb in my own little world of glitter and glamour and taste for the best. Too influenced by the media/blogs/Youtubers I would most probably say. And its so true. I just can't seem to shake the feeling that the less make-up/shoes/clothes/bags I own, the more of a loser I become.

I think I'm turning into a total genuine bia-tch.

And the worst thing of being a bia-tch, is to not deny the accusations, instead, feeling proud to be called that way. =__=

CLIS (Cindy's life is shit)

I totally am morphing into a gal that doesn't care about how to the world see me, cocooning myself, and that is when I'm truely happy.

Finally, I have find my own path towards happiness.

And that is... Materialism.

So, here I come.... GUCCI, LV, CHANEL, YSL, CHLOE, GIVENCHY, PRADA, VIKTOR & ROLF, ALEXANDER WANG, JUICY COUTURE, BALMAIN, HERMES, STELLA MCCARTNEY, BURBERRY, MARNI, LANVIN, DIOR, MAC, BOBBI BROWN, URBAN DECAY, BENEFITS, TOO FACED, SHU UEMURA, STILA, ESTEE LAUDER, NARS, KEIHLS.....

What's your route to happiness??
