My Makeup Collection: Blush

Well, my blush collection has definitely grow since half a year ago where I only own 6 blushes. I think the most fanatic period of buying blushes is when I'm in Japan. I seem to grow very fond of this makeup category as I enjoy the morning routine of choosing which colors should be going on my cheek. And of course, this doesn't stop me at all from splurging further by having the urge to experiment with other brands and colors.

Enough said, here is the collection. I hope that my collection won't scare you ^__^

Face Of The Day

Face:
Fasio primer
Fasio concealer stick
Bobbi Brown liquid foundation
Elf bronzer and blusher
Clinique highlighter

Eyes:
Elf eye primer
Lancome palette
Mac satin taupe
Elf gel eyeliner
YSL mascara
Benefit brow pencil
Mac white eyeliner

Lip:
YSL rouge volupte 2

This is my favourite look at the moment. And I absolutely adore how easy it is to get this look. Took my about 45 minutes (plus the time of watching animes while doing my makeup). I just love Satin Taupe. I think I'm going to invest more on taupe and earthy color. I used to despise brown on my eyes as I thought they made me look muddy and dirty. Maybe my perceptions are wrong all these while.

Enough said... Chanel Taupe Gris and Vert Khaki, here I come!!!

May 2010 Favourites

Woohoo... I know its been kinda late, but anyway...

Nyx Goddess of the Night Lipgloss, Majolica Majorca Lash Gorgeous Wing Mascara, Mentholatum Lipice Colour Lipstick Balm

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, ELF Cream Eyeliner, NYC Colour Wheel
I love them to bits. They are my staple for the month of may where I'm getting quite attached to. But, sadly, I need to move on to other products or I wouldn't be able to finish up my makeup collection.

Well, I'm pretty ironic myself. Part of me wanna use up my makeups in the stash, another part of me wants to shop till I drop when it concerns some about cosmetics. Sigh... This, is what I call A Never Ending Cycle Of My Makeup Life.

My Blush Collection

I got some of these for a while. Nothing new purchased because I've only had 2 cheeks and God knows why I own that many blushers. I'm using them up like crazy, trying to get as much products onto my cheeks as possible. But man...! Do they take ages to even make a dent.

From top left, clockwise: Nars Orgasm, NYC Colour Wheel, NYC Cheek Glow, MAC Colour Forecast, ELF Blush and Bronzing Duo and Max Factor.

Face: ELF Highlighter and Concealer
         N7 Balance Intelligence Mousse
         Max Factor 220 Classic Rose
         Clinique Highlighter and Bronzer

Eyes: ELF Eye Primer
         Alice in Wonderland Palette
(can't remember what colours I used, but if I'm not mistaken is the white, light grey, blue and black)
Loreal Liquid Super Liner Carbon Gloss
         Ebay false eyelashes

Lips: Nars Lip Stain and Lip Gloss Duo

I just realized that whenever I wear falsies, my eyelids would magically transform to double eyelids. Super happy. But its only temporary :(

Tomorrow's the big day. Just can't believe that its actually my birthday tomorrow. I'm looking forward to using all of my birthday presents (yup, I know what are they) and the apparent "surprise" would definitely make my day.

I love filming videos... But I just hated editing them as well as uploading them onto Youtube. They are just too time consuming and totally troublesome.

An advanced happy birthday to me!!! **lalala**

Faces of 3 Days

I am a typical lazy ass procrastinator. So much so that the mission of writing "Face of the Day" has been completely forgotten until I go through my pile of photos in my laptop. And the worse thing is that I'd completely forgotten which makeup brand did I used to complete these looks.

Its a total bummer. I wish I should have done this earlier so I can list down whatever products that I'd used.

But anyways, here are some of the looks that I'd created for my day time appearance. Its kinda heavy for day time actually, but I like using colours so I don't care.

I do think that these are the product brands that I used throughout the 3 looks...

Eyes: ELF Eye Primer, 88 Shimmer Palette, Beauty UK Eyeshadow Palette, Maybeline Eyeshadow Trio Palette, Benefit Eyebrow Pencil, Loreal Liquid Liner, ELF Mineral Eyeliner, The Body Shop Eyeliner, ELF False Eyelashes

Face: N7 Intelligence Balance Foundation Mousse, ELF Concealer and Highlighter, ELF Mineral Booster, Bobbi Brown Liquid Foundation, MAC Select Cover, Max Factor Blush, NARS Orgasm Blush

Lips: Barry M Palest Lavender and Dolly Pink, Ianti Lip Gloss, Lancome Juicy Tubes, Loreal Glam Shine, Lipice, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Lip Gloss

Sorry, its my bad to give such vague description of which products I'd used. In the future, I would try to bear in mind that I need to stop procrastinating so much in order to save my own skin and my blog ;p

Happy Chinese New Year, Happy Valentine's Day, Face Of The Day

First of all, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Chinese New Year and Loving Valentine's Day...

Its so weird that this 2 important festival fall on the same day and making me confuse of which day to celebrate.

But anyway, today is what I call a double happiness day so am gonna wear pretty new clothes to celebrate them. And I think we are celebrating more of CNY instead of VD due to the fact that I'm going vegetarian today (its a tradition).

Anyway, so here's face of the day... (Not today though, today am gonna wear red on my face..oh wait...maybe pink will do... I don't wanna be a Chinese G**st...)

New Youtube Videos - ELF Face Products Haul & Review

Yay!!!! I've finally filmed, edited and uploaded a video on Youtube. After spending hours, the finishing product is up and hope that you guys could help me to watch and rate and comment on it and please give me some constructive idea to make it better.. Thanks.

To view it ==> ELF Face Products Haul & Review

1st product is the Corrective Concealer which contains 4 colours: Nude, Green, Lilac and Beige

Price: £3.50

Photobucket
It comes with an applicator, which I think its too small, so I use my fingers instead.

Photobucket
ELF Advertise:
Conceals under-eye darkness, blemishes and other skin imperfections with customized coverage. Brightens under-eye circles and neutralizes redness. Convenient size for on-the-go travel.

My Opinion:
Here are the swatches. As you can see, they are really sheer and quite creamy which led me to layering if I want more coverage and as an end result, the product caked on my skin, making my complexion fake. Maybe its just my problem area which are either too dark or too red. But I do find this a bit oily after application.

Ratings: 7/10

Repurchase: No, as product does not give much coverage

Photobucket
Contouring Blush and Bronzer Palette

Price: £3.50

ELF Advertise:
Create a healthy and natural glow all year long. The Blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of color, while the Bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition. (Blush and Bronze both have a soft shimmer).

Photobucket
My Opinion:

I like the colour and the pigmentation and the long lasting power. Its not cakey and I love the fact that I don't need to apply layers to acheive the flush colour. Its easy to blend, although its a bit too shimmery for my liking, it does give my complexion a glow. Not bad for something so cheap.

I do not think that its similar to NARS Orgasm Blush in terms of pigmentation because NARS is a bit sheer on more on the pinkish side while ELF is more of like a coral and cool pink tone.

Ratings: 9/10

Repurchase: Yes

Photobucket
Under Eye Concealer and Highlighter

Price: £3.50

ELF Advertise:
Correct under eye problematic areas such as dark circles and bags easily and effectively! Contains vitamins A & E, chamomile, caffeine and green tea to moisturize, soothe, and tighten the skin around the delicate eye area. Blends in easily and evenly to provide a smooth and natural finish.

My Opinion:
I like the concealer part which is easy to blend and gives very good coverage, especially on my dark eye circles. I just need to use my fingers to tap gently and the product totally absorbed in my skin. The applicator is a bit slanted to give easy application on weird areas.

However, I'm not a big fan of the highlighter. Its too bright and white. Its like a complete colour on its own. Although it does have illuminating powers, I hope that it wouldn't be too prominent in terms of pigmentation. Oh wait, it shouldn't have any pigmentation at all.

Ratings: 7/10

Repurchase: Yes due to its convenient shape of a pencil and good foundation coverage

Mineral Booster

Price: £3.50

ELF Advertise:
Achieve the ultimate, translucent "photo finishing touch" to your makeup, our Mineral Booster melts into your skin, infusing it with key vitamins A, B and E to promote healthier skin that’s noticeably silkier and smoother. Completely sheer and ideal for all skin tones, Mineral Booster gently absorbs oil and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and pores for a beautiful even finish. Wear alone or buff over our Mineral Concealer and Foundation to lend extra staying power and to achieve a professional and stunning porcelain matte look that will last all day.

Photobucket
My Opinion:
A very good product that comes with affordable prize. Easy to blend, really sets my make up, sheer glow to it and really does gives me a matte finish and doesn't cake up my face. Nothing more else to say except superb product.

Ratings: 9/10 as I wish that more powder could come out from its section through the holes so that I don't have to repeatingly shake the bottle.

Repurchase: Yes, but I would like to try out the Mineral Glow
