The Mark Of Yoong's Leaving

Today, is the day, where I bade him farewell in my bed -__- , holding back my sadness, hugging him as tightly as I could as if he's not coming back, telling him how much I love him, wish him all the best for his trip back to home, put away my sleepy drowsy thought (it 6am in the morning for heaven's sake), and hope that he could reach home safely.

My heart now, how should I describe it?? Its like sleeping. No more enthusiasm to face work, no more anticipating upcoming events, no sadness or sorrow to cry, just.... NOTHING!!!

I wish I could be alive, be the usual cheerful self, living on my daily life, but, its like impossible while you are going back for 2 months.

I am starting to miss you dearly, just have fun while you're at home and stay safe.

He's leaving :(

He's boarding the plane tomorrow, in the morning, going back for 2 months, and 2 songs pops up in my mind:

Kim Jong Il- I'm So Ronery

I'm So Ronery
So ronery So ronery and sadry arone

There's no one
Just me onry
Sitting on my rittle throne

I work rearry hard and make up great prans
But nobody ristens, no one understands
Seems rike no one takes me serirousry

And so I'm ronery
A rittle ronery
Poor rittle me

There's nobody I can rerate to
Feer rike a bird in a cage
It's kinda sihry
But not rearry
Because it's fihring my body with rage

I'm the smartest most crever most physicarry fit
But nobody else seems to rerarize it
When I change the world maybe they'rr notice me

But untir then I'rr just be ronery
Rittle ronery, poor rittle me

I'm so ronery

Chantal Kreviazuk - Leaving On A Jet Plane

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
The taxi's waitin', he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go'

Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

I'm ...There's so many times
I've let you down
So many times I've played around
I'll tell you now, they don't mean a thing

Every place I go, I think of you
Every song I sing, I sing for you
When I come back I'll wear your wedding ring

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

Now the time has come to leave you
One more time, oh, let me kiss you
And close your eyes and I'll be on my way

Dream about the days to come
When I won't have to leave alone
About the times that I won't have to say ...

Oh, kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

Carrick-a-rede Bridge

Getting ready for the 20 minutes trekking by putting on my rain coat to protect myself from the sun..
That's the famous overrated bridge of Northern Ireland. I mean, it definitely looks kinda short.

View under the bridge. Not even high tide, but still, its a far way down.

Frankly speaking, its not as exhilirating as it had describe in the tourist booklet. I mean, I expect it to be longer, and shakier and without too many safety guard.

Load of birds sun tanning on the rock. Really really smelly as we went near the rocks covered full of their shit.

Nice shot.

I hope to see some Edelweiss, but nah, no sight of them, this will do.

Being a loving couple on those rocks but after 15 minutes, we started fighting. Sigh, me and my nasty temper.

But still, Yoong had a great time nontheless.

Its really windy, perching on top of them rocks. If only I could dress more prettily, then the effect of this shot would be perfect.

Nah, one last view of the bridge. See how short it is?? But what's worth while is the sensational brilliant scenary. Just love the deep blue sea, don't cha?

Zuma: SADC Will Act Over Zimbabwe Impasse

Cape Town - President Jacob Zuma said on Tuesday that intervention measures will be taken within the Southern African Development Community and other continental structures, should there be any indication that the provisions of democracy inside Zimbabwe are compromised.

"We have noted that since the establishment of the coalition government in Zimbabwe the nature and extent of violence has subsided," he said, giving a written reply to a Parliamentary question tabled by Athol Trollip, the Democratic Alliance leader in Parliament.

"We are confident that the current coalition government will make greater efforts to make certain that there is wide-spread respect and promotion for the rule of law and human rights, including political rights and freedom of association."

Trollip had asked whether he would make public the report made by retired generals sent to Zimbabwe to investigate the role of the military in the last year's post-election violence, and whether he would send them back again now to probe reports of continued intimidation and harassment.

The President's reply indicated that he would not send them back, and he told Trollip that since the report was only made orally to former president Thabo Mbeki, he had no report available to release.

New Crisis for Zimbabwe's All Inclusive Govt

Zimbabwean police arrested a deputy minister from Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai's MDC party for alleged theft, state media reported today, in a move that could raise tensions in the unity government.

Five MDC lawmakers have been convicted of various crimes since Mr Tsvangirai and President Robert Mugabe formed a power-sharing government in February, and several more face an assortment of charges.

Deputy Youth Minister Thamsanqa Mahlangu, also the MDC's youth chairman, is alleged to have stolen a mobile phone belonging to Joseph Chinotimba, a staunch Mugabe ally and leader of a group of veterans of Zimbabwe's 1970s liberation war, the Herald newspaper said.

It said the theft took place during a government workshop on a "National Shared Vision", at which the two shared a table. "I can confirm Mahlangu's arrest on charges of theft which occurred on July 17th.

Two other people are being charged," police spokesperson Wayne Bvudzijena told the Herald.

"They are being charged with breaching sections of the Telecommunications Services Act - using a cellphone line without the consent of the owner." Mr Bvudzijena was not immediately reachable for comment.

The MDC has accused Mr Mugabe of plotting to reduce the party's parliamentary majority through the arrest and jailing of its lawmakers. According to Zimbabwean law, members of parliament lose their seats if they are jailed for more than six months.

Zimbabwe PM Tsvangirai Sets Consultations With SA President Zuma

Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai will meet Saturday with South African President Jacob Zuma to inform the chairman of the Southern African Development Community on issues dividing the Harare unity government, Mr. Tsvangirai's office said.

Topping the agenda are President Robert Mugabe's unilateral appointments in late 2008 of Reserve Bank Governor Gideon Gono and Attorney General Johannes Tomana.

Mr. Tsvangirai will also brief Mr. Zuma on what his branch of the Movement for Democratic Change charges has been selective prosecution of its members of parliament by members of the judiciary loyal to President Robert Mugabe's long-ruling ZANU-PF party. The MDC says ZANU-PF is prosecuting its MPs to whittle away at its parliamentary majority.

A spokesman for Mr. Tsvangirai said he will urge Mr. Zuma to call an urgent regional summit to take up these issues. SADC is a guarantor of the September 2008 Global Political Agreement that provides the basis for Zimbabwe's unity government.

Five Tsvangirai MDC formation legislators have been convicted and sentenced on charges that range from causing a public disturbance to rape. Other cases are pending in the courts. The MDC says the charges have been trumped up for political reasons.

Minister of State Gorden Moyo, attached to Mr. Tsvangirai's office, told reporter Ntungamili Nkomo of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that the prime minister hopes the regional organization can broker an amicable agreement on the outstanding issues.

Meanwhile, the MDC said Finance Minister Tendai Biti, secretary general of the party, received an anonymous letter at his Harare home with a bullet advising him to "sort out your estate." The party said it viewed the letter and its contents as constituting a death threat.

The same kind of missive was sent in 2007 to journalist Bill Saidi, editor at that time of the weekly Standard newspaper, but was not followed by an attempt on his life.

The MDC issued a statement condemning the apparent threat. "The terror tactics of sending bullets to cabinet ministers is a sure sign that the desperate forces fighting the new dispensation are getting more and more desperate every day," it said.

NCA Urges Halt to Zimbabwean Constitutional Revision Process

Zimbabwe's non-governmental National Constitutional Assembly called on the government and parliament Monday to halt the official constitutional revision process, warning it will urge voters to reject any constitution written by politicians and not "people-driven."

NCA Chairman Lovemore Madhuku told delegates the official constitutional revision process is undemocratic and defective and will therefore produce a flawed document.
Madhuku said the NCA and allied groups including the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions and the Zimbabwe National Students Union will not let politicians rewrite the constitution.

From Harare, correspondent Irwin Chifera of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe reported.

Political analyst Farai Maguwu, director of the Center for Research and Development, said he and staff of his Mutare-based institute attended the NCA's "people's convention" as well as the recent stakeholders conference called by the the parliamentary select committee assigned to oversee the constitutional reform process under last year's power-sharing agreement.

Maguwu told reporter Jonga Kandemiiri of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that it is healthy for Zimbabwean democracy for both groups to hold parallel and competing conferences.

Meanwhile, the parliamentary select committee on constitutional reform is seeking prosecution of those responsible for the disruption of a July 13 stakeholders meeting in Harare.
Committee Co-Chairman Douglas Mwonzora said his panel is drawing on video footage of the meeting and has also compiled a list of people injured during the melee.

Mwonzora told Studio 7 reporter Patience Rusere that prosecution of those responsible for the disturbance will show that the law is not being applied selectively.

Press reports have laid the disruption at the doorstep of Zimbabwe War Veterans Association Vice Chairman Joseph Chinotimba, Deputy Science and Technology Minister Patrick Zhuwao, a nephew of President Robert Mugabe and Youth Minister Saviour Kasukwere.

Olympus SP 590UZ

I am so gonna get this compact digital camera once Yoong is back to Singapore. Maybe Singapore sells cheaper cameras than the UK?? Anyway, I wanted something that produces higher quality photos than the normal digital cameras and weigh less than those DSLR, therefore, the choice would be THIS...

At 1st I was hog onto Sony DSC H50, but after reading several reviews and comparing the worthiness of the price, I'd decided to get this Olympus instead. It looks sturdy enough to withstand harsh conditions (I am a clumsy person, thus the need of this criteria).

But what's more, the specifications really makes me drool. Here goes:
  • Compact 12MP digital camera with incredible 26x wide optical zoom
  • Dual Image Stabilisation, advanced face detection and auto exposure correction
  • View images direct from camera via HDMI on compatible TVs
  • Bright 2.7 inch LCD viewing screen and built-in flash
Absolutely stunning features and quality imaging could be seen throughout the reviews...

And the price ain't bad too, £258 including p&p. That's a steal, right???

And I just love how pro this camera looks when its in its full zoom length. There's so many specifications that makes me wonder about how powerful this tool is, but still, haven't got a clue what all those numbers, those aperture, those fps meant. If you wanna know more, go to their official website and there would be the list of specs.

The dilemma here is, whether should I buy it here in ?? or should I ask Yoong to purchase it in Singapore ???
Whatever it may be, I'm gonna be £260 poorer.

Zimbabwe Military Chiefs Still Won’t Salute Tsvangirai

HARARE, Zimbabwe’s influential generals are still refusing to salute Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai six months after he joined President Robert Mugabe in a unity government, gesture analysts say shows an unwillingness to embrace change.

Almost two months before the first anniversary of the historic September 15 power sharing agreement, which gave Zimbabweans hope that the 85 year-old Mr Mugabe was being eased out of power, an unpalatable reality is beginning to sink in.

Since independence in 1980, the former guerilla leader has ruled with the support of a clique of army generals who have acquired enormous wealth such that dismantling their patronage system will come at a cost.

As head of government, Mr Tsvangirai should be saluted by all the service heads including the head of army, General Constantine Chiwenga and the Commissioner General of police, Augustine Chihuri.

The hope that Mr Tsvangirai’s ascendance to power will be smooth was mainly premised on the fact that his Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) had seized control of parliament from Zanu PF for the first time since independence.

But Mr Brilliant Mhlanga, a Zimbabwean academic based at the University of Westminister in the United Kingdom says the feat was a pyrrhic victory as demonstrated by the evolving political developments in the country.

And so much as the opposition has been boasting that they almost control parliament, it is useless, he said. Zanu PF has remained with the repressive state apparatus, defence forces and the judiciary. They have remained in control of all the levers of power to this day.

A Shitty Experience

This is what I'd texted Yoong while he was working, few moments ago:

Just now, there was a sudden urge to pangsai. So strong was the shit that it almost flew out. But my housemate was in the toilet so I have to wait and keep it in. The waiting is such a torture as I could feel that my anal muscles are going to cramp and give way for my shit to let loose.

After waiting for like eternity and the shit is at the brink of Mr. asshole, my housemate finally came out and I rush into the toilet letting it all out. That, is certainly one hell of an experience. 1st time in history of my 24 years of living.

And I wasted 40 pence on a text message just like that... -__-

Human's Are Attracted To Water/Beach

I heard from someone (not sure who was it!?) that humans are 70% (or is it 60%) made from water therefore we tend to love water/get closer to water/attracted to water of any form.

I do think this statement is so true, as the 3 of us (me, Yoong and his friend) discover a beach, we were like kids being offered a lollipop, nothing could describe how happy we were...

We didn't care whether if we brought any spare clothes to change in case we wet outselves, we just dash to the lovely beach after getting down from the rented car and taking off our shoes.

The lovely sound of waves really is soothing. The differences between the beach in Northern Ireland and Malaysia are that the water is freezing cold here while the latter is warm and the beach here is free from rubbish.

Found a pebble (alright, just a normal stone) and wanted to do a triple jump with it on the water but fail terribly... Just a one big "domp" and the stone sank.. :-(

The classic shot of shoes and sand. I think this picture won't make the cut as our shoes are dirty.

Look at them boys -__- Love their shoes so much, keeping them away from the sand as high as possible.

Cold soothing water. And its really shallow. Great for wading far...

Found a dead jellyfish, and trying to poke it to see if its alive (but shit lah, it doesn't got any legs anymore and I think its organs is teared away, but still, poking it, like the konyaku [japanese type of jelly but firmer] feeling of it)

See??? I didn't lie. It lost its tentacles and its just a lump of jelly. Call it Mr Jelly (eliminating the fish word).

The dog likes it too. See?? We mammals are all one big family.

The love scene. Thanks to Mr. Yoong's friend.

To lazy to elaborate. What can I say. Its a nice bitch/beach. And we are clearly enjoying ourselves.

Lovely waves. No huge ones. Like delicate babies they are. One after the other.

Its definitely worth the trip. And that's the only beach I'd visited in this 3 years. Pathetic isn't it??
Had make up my mind to just ignore any opinions or objections or criticism towards my blog. I am just going to be me and nobody is going to change that. Way to go Cindy (I know, I sounded with forced optimism).

Outfit Of The Day

Coat: Austin Reed, Dress: Jane Norman, Necklace: Scotland.
This is what I wore to our 1st year anniversary (as you had already seen). I know, I'm a little obssess with the anniversary thingy and you are probably getting annoyed, so this would be the last post about anything related to that.
Someone commented that all my outfits are boring and nothing much to anticipate (really saddened by this statement). Is that true? T__T T_______T T_________________T Should I stop this section then?? :'(

How's The Food on Our 1st Year Anniversary?

We had our dinner at Tony Roma's and the food was definitely worth a steal, or should I say yummilicious. But of course, not all of them and man, did we finish them all.

Our starter was this sweet chilli wings thingy and it was yummy, for the 1st few ones though, as the more we ate, the more they tasted like dessert and we found it hard to gobble them down like normal chicken.

This is the famous ribs of Tony Roma's except that I asked for a combo meal instead of the whole rack of ribs. The crunchy prawns were fried to perfection and the ribs tasted good (just that the meat was a tad too little and too bony for ribs sake!). Love the boiled green beans sauteed with butter. A 4 out of 10 for the fries. But the 2 sauces (sour tangy red one and the herb mayo) was really quite a noah for the whole platter (noah save the day/the animals).

Great stuff this chocolate shake was. A typical shake fit for my liking.

I love love love x 100 this mango cocktail. Its so sweet that for a while I thought I was having juice. But the fiery finish at the end of the throat really stopped me from drinking more. But still, I'll definitely come back for more of this sweet alcoholic drink. The slice of pineapple is really just for deco, no fuse...

The salad to go with Yoong's chicken. Didn't try it as I hated salad.

The breast of chicken. We always wonder why the hell does chicken breasts always have to taste bland and tough!?? I mean, isn't there a way to tenderize the meat and flavour it before serving to customers. This is a huge let down for the night. But Yoong did enjoy the champs (mash potatoes with spring onions), and the big eater couldn't finish his share, that's like so weird...

Wonder why did he pick out this shirt. I mean, really, this is a special occassion and I sure wish that he could be more properly dressed. But still, happy anniversary my dear.

Last but not least, the ice cream as dessert. Just simple plain old ice cream, and I'm paying freaking £5 for this glass of crap. Well, its not that crap actually, just that once you taste it, you know that its those ice cream from Tesco, and its the value one too.

Service was attentive that night, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, downing food into my stomach and trying to burst it. I do think its the company that night that made the food tastier ^__^ and Yoong just couldn't stop looking at me that night, muahahahaha.....

Cheers Liang Zi, we finally arrive to a year's supply of love and may there be more love and affection in the future.
