Bday Eve.

A surprise small party.

His preparation of balloons for me...

My Sleeping Beauty cake.

The whole setting.

And the wrong spelling of "Birhtday" on the cupcakes.

But all in all, I did have a real good laugh and a bit shock on this whole event made by my housemate and my bf.

Looking hideous here... That's how I look on a typical day at home.

Thanks Yoong. Its totally memorable. The 1st birthday that I'd celebrated with Yoong as his gf.

I look really horendous in this video... Proceed with Cautions.. Its the process of my surprise party... Haha..if you don't mind me looking ugly and sounding like donald duck, then go ahead and enjoy it.

The Sudden Disappearance

As I've been busy with work and birthday celebrations (literally lame excuses everytime when not writing any entries), therefore my blog had resorted to cultivate some spider webs for the owner to dust -__-

Well, I haven't been a good girl yesterday. I did not participate in the turning off light event held yesterday at 8.30pm as I'd been busy savouring the gore and irksome scene from Watchmen.

I spent around £200 of my bf's money on presents and dinners. A rather lavish dinner and extraordinary (or should I say overrated) presents... Bad girl, bad bad Cindy....

But really, this is sort of the most awesome birthday celebration that I'd received in years (will write about it in the next few entries). Surprises, romantic, splurge, culinary satisfaction... **shifty eyes**

Although I'd received a great shock of my life yesterday regarding about my family and private life, but at least I did survive the ordeal of illusions of past parents-deceiving events.

I think I'm so outdated on current news and world happenings as I've been in my cocoon of comfort for too long. Time to mark up Cindy...

And its time to shift my butt to do something more meaningful to my life. I don't wanna have bad karma in later life from wasting precious time.

Ok, too long winded... Stop here...

Do I sound mad in this post?? Well, I did it intentionally, after knowing that I have to work on my birthday from 12pm to 9pm (which meant no candle light dinner or whatsoever) {hey, I freaking ask him to put me on the morning shift then why the hell am I working till 9pm??} and I'm working for 9 hours tomorrow and 13 hours the day after tomorrow.

T___T

I'm actually kinda tired with the rambling of how bad luck or the misfortune fell upon me in my work. This is gonna be the last entry that I'll complain. After this, I'm gonna start anew by applying for PHD and other jobs. Wish me luck.

Once again, thanks to those who cares about how exhausting and annoyed I am with KFC. I wish someone at the KFC HQ could read this and try not to exploit labour especially Asians or rather darker colour skin races.

Outfit Of The Day 3

Blouse: Zara, Pants: Ebay, Coat: Bangsar, Necklace: Primark, Boots: Priceless, Baseball cap: Nike.

Sometimes I do think that my supervisor is a bit cruel, he actually wanted me to work 13 hours today. But due to some unforseen circumstances, he changed it 8 hour. I mean, wtf....

FYI, I don't work as much when I'm in Malaysia, and working so much now really is a pain in the a**... Yeah, most of you did ask me to change my job, am currently thinking, but its kinda hard to find part time here...

Chickenballs With Peppercorn Sauce

Thanks to Peony (http://myculinaryjournal.blogspot.com/) , I've tried making this out.

For chicken balls (modified) :

300g minced chicken
2 eggs
1/2 tsp Salt
1 Tbsp flour
1 Tbsp cornflour
7 tbsp bread crumbs (panko)

Sauce:
Garlic /onions
Packaged peppercorn sauce
Milk

Methods:

1st mix up all ingredients for the balls as mentioned above in a bowl.
Leave for about 15 minutes.
Then form them into balls (according to the size of your likings) using two spoons (you can use your hand if you prefer better shape).
Boil them for about 10 minutes.
Then bake them until they are golden brown.
Set aside.

Fry some garlic / onions till golden brown.
Add in the sauce and milk.
Dunk in the balls.
Simmer for about 10 minutes until sauce thickens.
Serve with rice.
P/s: you could add in carrots or mushrooms if you please... But remember to boil them 1st before adding them into the sauce.

Words

Since when did I wrote a fully long length wordiess and non-picturism post?? Eh... I can't remember... All I do know is that people tend to read post with pictures as they find them more interesting, no???

I'm not sure why there's a sudden lost of interest in me writing a befitting essay that I could submit for evaluation (I'm pratically addicted to these writing last time). Maybe I just can't find the right words to express myself clearly and rather save all the writing by posting up pics that gives a clearer view??

Words to me are a two-timing, double edge sword, they either hurt me deeply or charm me to heaven depending on the user who spits it (here I go, all emo and stuff and acting as if as I'm a pro)...

Words, I prefer words more than action.... I have to guess the meaning of action which I condemn forever (due to laziness in thinking) and prefer those straightforward method of commuication by just listening (I don't have to use brainpower, -__-)

And I do think that words, be it by letters or verbally, is important in maintaining any relationship (family kinship, love, friendship, foe-ship, tutor-pupil-ship, neighbouring-ship) and if you tell me that a man with few words is a man that spits gold, I say "bah, what crap". He's either lazy to talk or he just couldn't express himself clearly and rather shut up.

I know, this entry would be forgo by many as words don't attract people that much, but to me, I just love how someone fully utilizes the dictionary and string them words into an exquisite sentence that touch right deep down into my soul. Therefore, I tend to read blogs, yup, and I do mean read, sentence by sentence, line by line, word for word.

But somehow, ironically, I don't seem to prefer novel over comics... Weird right??

What I just want to say here is that, sometimes, human prefer words (verbal and non-verbal).... Therefore, go ahead, tell your wife or daughter or mum or dad " I love you and will always care for you like I care for myself" , tell your neighbour "good day... nice weather ain't it?? wanna go for a walk??", compliment your friends or colleague "wow, what a great suit you have today..." or "that's a nice hairdo" or "great job", or exclaim to your boss "I've been giving my best in finishing this project as I know how it meant to the company", or praise your pet "that's my good boy, now do it one more time for mummy" (don't do it if your pet is a fish)

Its just a sentence or two... Go ahead.... Speak... Talk... Open your mouth or write it down... You will see how it significantly changes the life of someone else (its better to not shout any negative foul words to the ones you care though)...

But here's a question, do you prefer MAN OF WORDS OR MAN OF ACTION??

SHOEZZZZZZ....

I absolutely love these Topshop shoes... Don't you think they are gorgeous and stunning and simply amplify the word of "SEXY BABE"... ?? Its been gladiator craze for a while and now, everything changes to caged and strings...

Tell me which shoes do you prefer to flirt around or have fun (for you ladies) ???
Or tell me which shoes do you prefer your girlfriend wearing for a romantic dinner (for you guys)???
Or you prefer none of them -__-''

Knowing myself

http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx

Just take the test above and you'll know more about yourself like wtf right?? I take years and years trying to find my personality and have not succeed in any sorts of form but this test did actually help me out a bit... -__-

Here's my result:

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person -__- in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love:
Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

Your views on education:
You may not like to study but you have many practical ideas. You listen to your own instincts and tend to follow your heart, so you will probably end up with an unusual job.

The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don't ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.

Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

********************************************************************
Verdict: ok lah.... some of it are true... especially the boyfriend part where i don't judge a book by its cover (Yoong, it says that you are not attractive leh...hehe). And yup, I am afraid of failure. Other than that umm... not so sure... ******************************************************************** """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Those that I highlighted are true. Others... I don't think so.... or not so sure .

Malaysian Night

Getting ready for the party. Well, not exactly party, but a dinner's more like it.

Dress: Gift from friend, Necklace: Primark, Shoes: Next, Coat: Italy

Arrival at Hilton Hotel.

Being sitted at table number 2.

Chinese style condiments, nuts.

Main courses: Chicken stuffed with leek and roast/mash potatoes.

Main course number 2: Salmon with Hollandaise sauce and same sides as the chicken.
The food really tasted bland actually. So I'd to add ketchup to amplify the flavour. But its still an effort from the kitchen, so will still salute the chef for the preparation (we are paying by the way).

Lemon/orange marble cake with whipped cream.

Banoffee cake as usual. I thought that the former cake tasted better because Yoong could make a better Banoffee than this. The cakes here wasn't sweet enough but I loved the presentation of the them, so extra 30% marks for the chef ^__^

Some performance: fashion show of traditional costumes of Malaysia

Rojak dance they called it. But the choreography of the dance was quite good.

Piano performance by piano prodigy Ben and some singing by a gal.

Yoong and the guys. Eh... Don't really know them.

Best Dress Competition (female group). But it didn't end well as the contestants were not sporty enough to stay on the stage for the selection, so the competition was canceled -__- You know, how Malaysian's can be, always the "pemalu" (shy one) and don't wanna get oneself into the lime light.

Dinner over. Everyone's going back home.

My housemate.

Some really cool Malays.

Time for us to go home.

Yoong was socializing so I'd entertained myself into some photography around the lobby.
************************************************************************
p/s: I still wanna thank the organizers for having this night though.... Although its not really a huge success, but at least we get to socialize with each other and have a bit of fun. Hhhmmmppphhhh, if you ask me whether I'll attend it again next year??? I would say... YES!!!

Nearly Died

Ya, I'm not joking...

Try working for 14 hours, standing, walking, non-stop moving, having my breakfast and lunch and dinner only at 4.30pm for the whole day, smiling, serving every customers, repeating "hiya, how can I help you?" "is this everything you need?" "and your salts, straw, napkins are inside the wee bag" "enjoy your meal, thank you, see you again, bye!" to about 200++ customers, and bending 200++ times outwards to the windows (drive thru) delivering the orders, with your manager watching your every move...

I'm not joking.... : (

This is what I had been doing today.... for 14 FREAKING HOURS....

And had to endure oral shooting T__T by loved ones... :(

In order to cheer me up, I'm gonna look at some white gold bodied sports car by Merz...

I think these 3 pictures really soothes all the hardship and pain that I'm suffering quietly alone...

If I've got money, I'm so gonna get them... haha... then show off to everyone..haha...

Weird Outfits

Giles Deaco - Pacman style hats for S/S 09 . Reminds me of when I was a little kid.

Outfits that transform automatically. Super Cool.

Had a huge fight with Yoong. So am not gonna blog much (no mood, really... **sigh...**) but show you guys that outfits nowadays really are full of awesomeness and quirkiness..

****************************************************************
Is it a crime to try and take a rest from all the working and labouring?? So what if I am finding excuses?? Its not unethical, is it?? I mean, last week I've been working for 5 freakin days in a row, is it so wrong to just rest for another day??****************************************************************
